Longings: A Poem

I want to grow roots
Like an old oak tree
Tall but very deep

I've wandered too long
And I've grown too weak
While searching and longing

Give me water so I won't thirst,
Bread that I shall never hunger,
Light so I'll never stumble

Joy in my roots,
Something deeper,
And a place like home
